About the Course: How do I submit a diabetes tip?
We would love to have your tips! Please click on the “Submit a Diabetes Tip” link in the menu bar on the left side of the home page. We weave the outstanding tips from people like you into HealthSims training courses and our website. We will only use your first name, age at diagnosis, and current age to identify the tip. We include photos with tips in the courses and/or website when we have them. If you would like to provide a photo for us to use, please review the FAQ topic about providing a photo. Sharing diabetes tips with others helps improve lives!

About the Course: How do I submit my photo to be used in future versions of the course?
When possible, we include photos with personal tips in the training courses and/or on our website. We would love to have your photo to include with your tip(s). Please email your digital photo to admin@healthsims.com and tell us your first name, age at diagnosis, and current age. Please also include any tips you have or let us know if you submitted your tip via our website.

About the Course: How did you verify the accuracy of the course?
Type 1 DiabetesSim has been granted the “Favorably Reviewed” seal after being thoroughly reviewed by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). The AADE rigorously reviews training courses to guarantee quality and accuracy of the content and identify quality educational materials. Additionally, medical professionals including diabetes educators, dietitians, nurses, and doctors contributed to the Type 1 DiabetesSim course content and provided content reviews of the materials.

About the Course: When will the type 2 training course be on line?
Type 2 DiabetesSim is currently in production. The targeted release date is 2009. Type 2 DiabetesSim will have a similar structure as Type 1 DiabetesSim and will include many tips from people with first-hand type 2 diabetes experience. To find out more information about the type 2 course, click on the Type 2 link on the left menu of the home page.

Running the Course: What is saved on my hard drive?

The course does not automatically copy anything to your hard drive. You can choose to download or print checklists, tools and health aids throughout the course and from our website.

Running the Course: Does the course save my place?
The course does not currently save your place if you exit prior to completing a topic. In order to save your place, we would have to write more information on your hard drive, and most people prefer we not do that. To return to where you left off easily, you would need to make a note of where you left off, then you can click the Next button return to the page you last viewed.
