HealthSims launched its training and website in fall 2007 with the mission of providing the first place to go for diabetes information. We offer comprehensive training to our users at no charge to them. HealthSims training improves lives, and therefore, it is our goal to make it widely accessible to those affected by diabetes.

We provide access to a worldwide market of people with interests in diabetes and other health-related products and services. According to the American Association of Diabetic Educators, Diabetes afflicts 120 million people worldwide, and the World Health Organization estimates that number to skyrocket to 300 million by 2025. In the United States alone, 20.8 million people have diabetes, although 6.2 million of those are undiagnosed. More than 1 million Americans are affected by type 1 diabetes. Each day, approximately 2,200 people are diagnosed with diabetes.

Our Type 1 DiabetesSim training course has been Favorably Reviewed by the American Association of Diabetic Educators. This training course covers critical topics on managing diabetes and is comprised of 12-16 hours of content including 15 different training topics, virtual networking, and 100 practice activities. This course is an outstanding training tool for people who have recently been diagnosed with diabetes as well as a refresher for those who have been living with diabetes for years. The information is relevant and extremely useful for families, caregivers, and friends of those with diabetes, and healthcare providers can look to free HealthSims training to meet their Continuing Education needs without dipping into their training budget. Type 2 DiabetesSim is currently in production and will meet the needs of a similar type 2 diabetes audience.
